The strongly graphic form of this photograph, which Ryczek achieved by capturing the black-and-white checkerboard-like floor, was softened by “interjecting” a figure in a mask into the frame. Such a solution focuses the viewer’s attention almost entirely on the right side of the photo, which, with a high-contrast, invasive background, is a procedure that requires a highly developed artistic sensibility and aesthetic feeling. Once again, Ryczek also proves that in addition to classical photography and reportage photography, the art of the European avant-garde of the 1930s remains an important inspiration for him.
The edition is available in three formats: two formats: 35 x 55 cm, 45 x 71 cm, 50 x 80 cm issued in 10, 15 and 5 copies respectively. Add 5 cm of white margin to each format. Digigraphie® digital print, Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta 315 gr/m2 paper. Digigraphie® Certificate of Authenticity.
He specializes mainly in minimalist and symbolic photography. He uses geometry and symbols in his work. The main principle that he follows in photography is the assumption of a minimum of form, maximum of content.
