The (un)real work is one of the more interesting examples of Ryczek’s ability to play between the permanent elements of reality and the random, ephemeral forms that appear in the landscape. On the one hand, the photograph is the result of a spontaneous gesture of grasping reality in the heat of the moment, but on the other hand – through technical correctness – it suggests that the recorded image was “awaited” and to some extent was subject to a conscious process of composition.
