The intimate act of conversation between two figures is, in the case of this photograph, recorded as a modest, barely perceptible fragment of raw, boundless space. For Ryczek, however, the relationship between the two people, their almost imperceptible gesticulation and the arrangement of their bodies turning toward each other, is the essence of this genre scene. Two seated figures with irregular outlines further dynamize the monochromatic photograph, which is monochromatic, uniform and balanced in terms of compositional detail.
