The series of paintings “Fruits on a big table” is a collection of works by the Pali artist, which are distinguished by their rich colors and dynamic style. In his works we can see sour lemons, sweet bananas and juicy watermelons and pineapples suspended in space. Although the artist’s earlier works were more figurative, Pala’s recent works combine elements of abstraction and surrealism.
Fruits in the artist’s paintings levitate in spaces of color. Their small size enhances the impression of dynamics and movement on the canvas. Extensive monochromatic backgrounds, like on Far Eastern painting scrolls, give Pali’s artwork depth and clarity.
It can be seen that the artist experiments with form and color, while maintaining a certain consistency in his style. Pali’s paintings are an amalgamation of different artistic currents that create a unique and vibrant vision of the world. The fruits that appear on his canvases become a symbol of spontaneity and transience, which is characteristic of the Surrealist trend, elements of which are evident in his work.
All these elements together create an extraordinary mood that takes us to another dimension, where color and form are the only carriers of emotion. The “Fruit on the Big Table” series is a great example of how art can affect our senses and emotions, making it an extremely important part of our culture.
Color in the works of Darek Pali is the most important. It is what primarily attracts the attention of the onlooker and forms the basis of his painting. It is undeniably the result of the artist’s formal search, as well as a kind of transmitter of his personal emotions.
