The “Fruits on a Big Table” series is a collection of paintings closer to abstraction that depict sour lemons, sweet bananas, juicy watermelons and exotic pineapples suspended in colorful spaces.
The fruits, although small in size, levitate in an abyss of color, creating unusual and dynamic compositions. All this is accentuated by the extensive monochromatic backgrounds, which resemble Far Eastern painting scrolls. These backgrounds enhance the dynamism of the images and shape their mood, which ultimately makes the whole series very intriguing.
