Włodzimierz Pawlak’s “Diaries” series, created since 1989, is one of the most important series in his oeuvre, providing a painterly record of his reflections on life and art. Initiated as a series of white paintings that were an attempt to distance themselves from the surrounding reality, the series evolved, gaining symbolic color elements relating to specific events, with dates placed on the canvases. “Diaries” combines a minimalist aesthetic with deep personal commentary, documenting the artist’s creative journey through the decades.
