“Notes on Art” by Włodzimierz Pawlak is a series of paintings and notes, which has continued since the 1980s. The artist, associated with the Gruppa movement, in his works analyzes both the essence of painting and the role of the artist in society. “Notes” are a kind of diary, in which Pawlak introduces the viewer to the creative process – he shares his thoughts on art, inspirations, emotions, as well as personal dilemmas. The works are distinctive for their minimalist style and experimental approach, which combines painting with textual elements.
