The dragon series, realized mainly at the Krakow Glassworks, the former scientific Institute of Glass and Ceramics, now an iconic place for glass lovers, refers by its character and name to the traditions and legends of Krakow and the Institute. For years, the institute had a glass-blowing dragon in its logo. Aleksandra, when she was a teenager, served her apprenticeship there as a student of the State High School of Fine Arts in Cieplice Śląskie Zdrój with a profile in art glass. So she has been associated with the steel mill for many years and greatly appreciates its traditions, design and artistic achievements. Dragon series were also created at the Karkonosze Museum in Jelenia Gora, which has the richest and largest collection of art glass in Poland. The museum’s collection also includes works by the artist. In 2019, the museum opened the Glass Laboratory – a fully functional glassworks, equipped with a glass smelting furnace, appropriate tools and materials. The steel mill is a place of artistic activity and hosts outstanding artists.
