Andrzej Fogtt

Painter, printmaker, sculptor, art theorist. Born in Poznań on 9.X.1950.
Studies: the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań.
Diploma in 1974. In the studio: prof. Zdzislaw Kępinski and prof. Magdalena Abakanowicz.

He has participated in numerous exhibitions min: he is the winner of the VIII Festival of Art
At Zachęta in 1979. , winner of the Grand Prix of the Festival of Polish Painting
in Szczecin in 1984, represented Poland at the 41st Art Biennale in Venice in 1984, Polish Contemporary Art in London in 1987, at the Manege
in Moscow1987, in Berlin, London, Lille, Arras in France 2007, Polish Art of the 20th Century at the National Museum in Wroclaw in 1989.
He has presented works in numerous solo exhibitions min. At the National Gallery of Art “Zachęta”. In 2022 he had an exhibition “Fogtt Perszko. Artists of Houses Standing in Place” at the National Museum in Szczecin.

In 2009. He was awarded the Gloria Artis medal.
