““Drawing No. 2” presents several faces intertwined within a geometric and abstract landscape. The expressive linework, subtle shading and layered structure are characteristic of Fangor’s early 1950s style, blending figuration with symbolic and spatial experimentation.
The overlapping heads, inverted orientations and dream-like composition evoke themes of perception, identity and the human presence within structured space. It is one of Fangor’s more psychological early works, merging expressive figuration with modern formal exploration. “
