Włodzimierz Pawlak’s “Notes on Art” series, created continuously since 1996, is a painterly sketchbook, a field of artistic experimentation and research. These small-format works, also developed in larger forms, are a visual development of the artist’s theoretical considerations. Thanks to his perfect technique and ability to synthesize the language of painting with scientific inquiry, “Notes” combine documentary, cognitive and aesthetic functions, being a testimony of creative reflection on the essence of art.
